Link-O-Rama: Chien-Ming Wang 'ready' for return

Wang appears ready to lower his 34.50 ERA

* Chien-Ming Wang looks prepared to rejoin the Yankees' rotation after making a second straight impressive minor-league rehab start yesterday. He has now tossed 13 scoreless innings at Triple-A, allowing just seven hits.

Wang induced a dozen ground-ball outs yesterday against a lineup that included Travis Hafner, Trevor Crowe, Michael Aubrey, Andy Marte, and Tony Graffanino of the Indians, declaring afterward: "I'm ready."

* Remember John Buck's out-of-nowhere two-triple game from last month? Well, the slow-footed Royals catcher hit another three-bagger yesterday and now has three triples in 72 at-bats this season after totaling three triples in 1,727 at-bats coming into the year.

* Joe Mauer's play on a ball that deflected off pitcher Jose Mijares yesterday is one of the best that I've ever seen from a catcher, so check out the video on MLB.com if you missed it. It's easy to forget that someone is also a stud defensively when he's hitting .429/.529/.804.

* Mike Pelfrey tied a Mets record yesterday when he became the first MLB pitcher since 1994 to balk three times in one game. Pelfrey, who balked zero times in 32 starts last season, explained afterward that he was suffering from "the yips" and called it "a weird, weird experience."
