The Yankees may not know how to cultivate a home field advantage in their new park, but the Mets sure do:
But in the end, the only chilling effect on Peavy and the Padres was the cold water at Citi Field, the $850 million venue that the Padres opened with a 6-5 victory on Monday. "Great ballpark . . . but the water's cold," Peavy said. "I took a cold (shower). Not exactly what you want, but I'm elated walking away from this game with a Padres win and series victory."
I like the Mets' thinking here. They just need to make it a tad colder and maybe it will actually help them win a game or two.
