Your latest dose of Roy Halladay "news"
-- He's going to the Phillies, Brewers, Rangers and Dodgers.
-- He's going to the Tigers, Twins and Red Sox.
-- Oh, and the White Sox.
-- And if you want to talk ancient history, you can go all the way back to last Wednesday and throw the Yankees into the mix too.
It's all so confusing, it's enough to make you cry.
With the passing of Walter Cronkite over the weekend, one pines for the days when the news happened before it was reported.
And for the record, I still don't think he's going to be traded by the deadline.

If Roy is going anywhere but Toronto it will be a crying shame. Fans have had very little to root for in the years since the pimp took over and now, when they are on the verge of having a competitive team, he is going to trade the leader and the anchor. Build on what you've got.
The anchor you can't afford and will lose with no players returned in the next year ... As in the Godfather " it's just business ".
I agree, it would be a shame to lose the heart and soul of the Jays lineup. And trust me, as much as we would love to see him in Philadelphia, it would be hard to see him in a different uniform because hes been with the jays for so long. To be honest, he'd probably fit well in Philadelphia rather than the Red Sox or the Yankee's. I mean seriously, havent the Yankees spent enough money? And their former GM and our advisor to the GM Pat Gillick was at the game on sunday, possibly scouting him. But hey, all I got to say for J.P. Ricciardi is do what ya gotta do, and I would love to see him come down to Philadelphia.
I heard the cardinals were after him (I HOPE)
The only fans who like this situation are living in New York, Boston, L.A. or Chicago. Remember though, no one has suffered like the people in K.C. have since Mr. Kauffman died. Think of the lineup the Royals could be fielding right now if not for the cheapskates running their team. Names like Beltran, Dye, Damon, Ibanez, couldn't be kept because of budgetary constraints. We have arguably some of the best pitching talent in the league in Zack Greinke and Gil Meche, but both seem to have to throw a complete game shutout to register a win. The bullpen can't hold em' and the position players can't hit. Zack should have 15 wins already and Gil should have ten.
Remember, everytime you start feeling sorry for yourselves, you could live in K.C.
Perhaps or perhaps not, but Halliday himself stated that there is a 50/50 chance that he will be traded...

The Phillies are the best landing spot for Holliday. They have the best line up and have great fan support and also have the money. Having Holliday pitch in the play offs and World Series almost guarantees them their first back to back World Series Titles ever. So, go for it Phillie. The future is now.
The Phillies will get him for a bag of balls and the Phanatics sister. Bank on it.
He is going to the NL. Besides, doesn't he have to approve the trade? So expect a major contender. I would love to see him in Atlanta, or a Brewers uniform. Teams that don't spend nearly as much, are almost true contenders, and can afford his current contract. Hate to say it though, he is probably going to the Phillies. They win a world series, are in first play, and still cry like little girls. Classic Philly fans, no exceptions.
Cry like little girls? You can hate to say it all you want - I look forward to every Natinals visit to the Bank. It's like playing a T-ball team.
