Yankee fans are now at liberty to go to the bathroom during the playing of "God Bless America" during the seventh-inning stretch, thanks to a settlement reached yesterday in Manhattan federal court. Signing off on the deal were the Yankees, the New York Civil Liberties Union and Queens resident Bradford Campeau-Laurion, who was thrown out of Yankee Stadium last year after trying to hit the head midtune.
This is certainly good news for those of you partake in a lot of fifth and sixth inning beverages white with foam.
Despite the settlement, however, going to the john during a late-inning rally is still grounds for immediate removal. And a good beating. Which is exactly what the Framers intended.

At what point is someone going to mention IT IS A LOUSY SONG and NOT PATRIOTIC?
When are you gonna learn that these colors don't run? Support our troops by not peeing in the 7th!
What exactly is the point of GBA in the 7th? The National Anthem is sung before the game begins. 9/11 has NOTHING to do with baseball. It seems like typical Yankee "we're more patriotic than you" garbage....and by the way I'm a Yankee fan. If they really feel it is necessary to honor 9/11 during the 7th inning of a child's game, then they should be rocking "America the Beautiful" as sung by Ray Charles. Can't get much more patriotic than that!
