Chase Utley hit two home runs on Wednesday, including what proved the game-winner in the top of the 11th, as the Phillies beat the Mets.
But before Utley could go yard, Jayson Werth saved the day in the bottom of the 10th, snaring David Wright's smoking liner with a diving/falling down catch to end the inning. Fernando Martinez was on first base and likely would've scored if the ball had gotten past Werth.

Werth is proving to be quite a versatile player, giving the Phillies a fine outfield with Shane Victorino and the suddenly -- and perhaps unfairly -- embattled Raul Ibanez.
In the meantime, the injury-plagued Mets must try to stay afloat during a brutal stretch of games.

Saving...
It seems to me that anyone now a days can write anything about anyone irregardless of whether they have the facts or not.. Because of the PED years that we the fans have had to suffer through these last 20 or so years it's a shame to see someone who I admire be run through the ringer....Now I'm all for being honest when it comes to playing this crazy game of baseball but I DON'T LIKE CHEATERS!!!! the Dykstra's, Sosa's, Bond's, Canseco's etc........These individuals have all used to taint are nation's past time...To believe anything else you've got to take your head out of the sand.....Raul Ibaniez is and has always been a hard worker and is as clean as a newborn baby.......I only hope that the blogger takes Raul up on his offer by putting up his entire career earnings to prove that he does use PED's....He'll be broke and out on the streets...but then he's probably earned a small amount anyway.....What's to stop me from writing that the blogger is a past child molester and put that out on the net for all to see....I'm sure he's not one but it's still damaging to his reputation just like Raul's..........Go ahead and test him.........He has nothing to hide and a lot to prove..........
