As if Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau need more help:
Justin Morneau and Joe Mauer toured Target Field on Wednesday afternoon, taking time from their highly productive 2009 seasons to look ahead to 2010 . . . Morneau noted and approved of the wind direction: blowing out to right field. The Twins have an American flag displayed beyond the right-field wall, and the occasional gust straightened it out.
"That's the first thing I noticed," Morneau said.
Luckilly for the AL Central, I don't suppose the architects have figured out how to make the wind blow that way all the time.

That's great for Morneau. Now if the wind shifts to left field it will help Mauer with his opposite field stroke.
Now if only that wind will blow out of right field and into the wallet of the Pollad family so that they actually pay to keep both Mauer and Morneau then we would be on to something.
At least in an open-air park there's no chance those controlling the HVAC can have the wind blow out only during the bottom of each inning, as the Twins have been accused of in the past.
